Black K.A.R.E.

Black Kids Are Really Exceptional

Black K.A.R.E. is a national initiative of The Links, Incorporated dedicated to affirming the brilliance, worth, and potential of Black youth. Through targeted programming, mentorship, and community engagement, we nurture the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally.

Programs that affirm Black identity, cultural pride, and a positive sense of self in young people across our community.

Academic Excellence

Initiatives that support academic achievement, college readiness, and lifelong learning for Black students in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's County.

Social-Emotional Wellness

Resources and activities that build resilience, healthy relationships, and emotional intelligence in Black youth.

Mentorship & Leadership

Connecting young people with mentors and role models who inspire them to lead, serve, and excel in their communities.
